The creation of this website is our way of honouring and commemorating Adeney’s prodigious and meticulous work over many years in tracking and recording our family history. We want it to be a living and expanding tribute to her life and to the lives of those who have gone before her as well as a gift to our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We hope some of them will be interested enough to fill in the gaps, contribute to our written history, learn from the lessons held in the information and value the strengths and forgive the weaknesses of this very ordinary, down-to-earth, quintessentially Aussie family where there seems to be a common thread of hard work, commonsense and a concern for living decent and productive lives.
